Slogan

Do a good turn daily.

Individuals older than 17 qualify to be Guides and all ages younger are considered as scouts.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM

The butterfly effect has been created as our grading system. The general growth of a butterfly represents how we grade our learners. Our grading system is made up of 3 phases, the foundation phase, intermediate phase and the Guide phase.

  • The foundation phase comprises of 3 levels in accordance with school grades.
  • Grade R-2 is dubbed the caterpillar stage, in the sense that a caterpillar has to grow into a butterfly over a series of events.
  •  Grade 3-5 is the Chrysalis or Pupa stage which indicates that a learner is at the middle stage of its butterfly transformation.
  • Grades 6-7 is the butterfly stage as the learners are well equipped to open their wings and fly, meaning they possess the necessary skills to thrive in life.
  • The intermediate phase is the “Dragonfly” level. This is the stage where a Bio Scout learns to become a Bio Guide. Here they get more practical STEM lessons and learn more about the organization.
  • The ambassador’s level is the highest level of achievement. A learner at this stage is a qualified Bio Guide and conducts activities and events, management of Scouts and has a full set of knowledge and skills to tackle the world and solve problems.
  • Through BGS they’ll experience a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities like earning progressional badges, going on awesome trips, exploring science, getting outdoors, and doing community service projects, as well as taking part in the organizations projects.
