Save the Endangered Puerto Rican Parrot

As Puerto Rico struggles to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Maria, help plant trees in El Yunque National Forest, the only tropical rainforest in the US, and save the Puerto Rican Parrot.

The critically endangered Puerto Rican Parrot’s only remaining natural habitat is the high trees of El Yunque National Forest. Re-establishing stable parrot habitat in the forest means survival of the species. Help plant trees to save the Puerto Rican Parrot.
Before the hurricane, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service had counted 56 to 60 parrots, the highest number of the parrots since 1967, thanks to a program to restore the species. But then Irma hit and and then came María.

Stabilizing tall trees and replanting where necessary is a matter of life or death for the parrot.

The endangered parrot has suffered a big set-back and it’s up to all people to help stabilize forest habitat and save the Puerto Rican Parrot. That's why Bio Moss Conservation has launched an emergency campaign, and we may need your help.
Parrots aren’t the only species that depend on healthy forest eco-systems. Rainforests are often called the lungs of the planet because they absorb carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, and produce oxygen upon which all animal life —including human life— depends for survival.
Help save planet Earth by saving the El Yunque rainforest and the parrots that live there.
